Activities meant to bring you as close to the wildlife as possible will occupy the days. You may walk around secluded islands and boat up to 500-strong elephant herds. You can also drive a custom 4×4 across floodplains in search of game and spend the afternoons watching birds soar above china blue sky. It doesn’t get much better than this if you’re interested in a mobile expedition in one of the most opulent camps, together with some amazing game viewing in a really wild setting.

  • The best way to experience the Okavango Delta, one of Botswana’s most beautiful and game-rich wilderness areas, is while moving across it.
  • Mix up your wildlife viewing activities by going on a walking safari through the forest or a boat or mokoro safari to see the hippo lazing in the shallows.
  • This schedule offers all the predators you could possible desire, whether you’re interested in leopard watching, lion tracking, cheetah chasing, or dog sight.
  • Prepare your binoculars for the incredible variety of birdlife in the Delta, which includes everything from bustards to bee-eaters.

Accommodations

You will sleep in spacious canvas tents with roll-up beds, down pillows, and cotton sheets as well as the mess tent. Our mobile tents are fully furnished. The guides make delicious meals that taste as good as they look, and there is always something sweet and delectable waiting for tea. And what is the query on everyone’s mind? Bathrooms have bush loos, plenty of hot water, and bucket showers. Both camps lack electrical infrastructure, although 12-volt automobile batteries can be used to charge camera batteries.

Serviced camping and camping gear

We provide camping guests with a level of comfort that is above ordinary. Our tents are dome-shaped, measuring 3 by 3 meters, and they have bathrooms. One can stand inside of them because they are large enough. These tents include sewn-in groundsheets and are composed of sturdy rip-stop fabric. Strong camp beds, mattresses, fitted sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and duvets are all included. Camping sinks, washstands, bucket showers with hot water, and water-based toilets are additional pieces of equipment used on safari to increase guest comfort. Large tables and folding seats in the safari style are available (all meals eaten from the table). The challenging part of camping is eliminated because our fantastic backup team takes care of all the cooking, cleaning, setting up, and breaking down! This arrangement enables our visitors to come as close to nature, the wild, plants, and animals as they possibly can. Our main goal is not to shield visitors from the things they have come to see. Due to the usage of our private sites, which allow our visitors to be near to the bush, the camping component of our safaris is frequently what tourists recall most.

Mobile Camp Okavango Delta

We’ll spend the following few days exploring the aquatic wonderland and learning more about its unique creatures. Have your binoculars ready to observe wildebeest, impala, zebra, wild dogs, and cheetahs; learn a little about the reserve’s unique plant life; ride a mokoros through the maze of channels; swim in remote locations; or just unwind and wait for the wildlife to approach you.

Wildlife

The Okavango Delta is particularly well-known for its diverse and staggeringly high quantities of game. During your stay, you’re more than likely to see zebras, wildebeest, impala, and predators such as African wild dogs, lions, leopards and cheetahs. There will also be the chance to sit back and watch super-herds of elephants as they splish and splash by the waterholes, and in the waterways of the Delta, watch out for the crocodile that lurks in the shallows, and the hippo jostling for territory. And don’t forget the birdlife; you’ll need your binos at the ready for the myriad of multi-coloured birds that swoop through the skies and specials like carmine bee-eaters and the African paradise flycatcher.

Showers and Food

Add a little magic to your Delta experience with hot bush showers and delicious meal delights, priceless memories and stunning photographic opportunities await

The Okavango Delta is probably Botswana’s single most famous game area. The annually flooded grasslands of the Okavango Delta offer seasonal viewing of Elephant, Giraffe, Impala, Sable Antelope, Greater Kudu, Plains Zebra, Common Waterbuck, Reedbuck, Tsessebe, Blue Wildebeest and the handsome plains associated Red Lechwe. Sightings of Hippo and Crocodile are common in the waterways. Predators include the sought-after African Wild Dog, Leopard, and several resident prides of Lion, Cheetah and African Wild Cat. Get ready to capture the last remaining colours of the Delta summer!
